I’m Eugene Chen, an aspiring engineer exploring robotics, embedded systems, and software—then sharing what I learn with the people around me.
What drives me
I love the moment an idea becomes tangible: a sensor returns data, a mechanism moves, or an app helps someone see the world differently. That same curiosity drives my STEM outreach—because the best projects invite other people to start building, too.
Selected work
A selection of projects across hardware and software.
Embedded systems + mobile
An automated system that detects completed print layers, sends a wireless trigger, and captures images through a custom Kotlin Android application.
Arduino + signal processing
A four-sensor Arduino system that calculates the direction and angle of incoming sound from sensor data.
View project notesMobile software + education
An application that identifies stars and constellations, bringing programming and astronomy education together in one experience.

Competitive robotics has strengthened my engineering, programming, teamwork, and outreach skills—and taught me how much good work depends on collaboration.

I enjoy helping younger students see themselves as builders. Through camps, demonstrations, and presentations, I try to make engineering feel approachable, creative, and worth exploring.
Let’s connect
I'm always excited to meet people who are curious about how things work.
